Senior Data Architect

We are on the lookout for a senior data architect to join our team for an initial 5 month contract to support a critical infrastructure remediation program focused on modernizing legacy systems and mitigating high-risk technology dependencies.

This position will require you to lead the transformation of our client's data ecosystem by designing future-state architecture, modernising integration layers, and providing insights from complex, interconnected and undocumented systems.

Typical Duties Include

• Assess and remediate ageing infrastructure across core systems.
• Analyse and document data sources with varying levels of existing metadata.
• Design logical and physical data models to support analytics and reporting.
• Deep dive into legacy codebases to extract and manufacture missing data content.
• Develop and implement ETL pipelines and integration strategies.
• Define and deliver a target-state data architecture aligned with business goals.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects (SA) and DBAs to ensure scalable, secure solutions.
• Work across Oracle, SQL Server, .NET, and Azure environments.
• Ensure data privacy by focusing on non-identifiable data elements.

Key Selection Criteria

• Proven experience in data architecture, integration, and legacy system remediation.
• Strong understanding of ETL processes, solution architecture, and data governance.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle, SQL Server, and .NET technologies.
• Familiarity with Azure cloud services and modern integration patterns.
• Ability to navigate undocumented systems and reverse engineer data flows.
