We are hiring a Wills & Estate Lawyer for a modern, tech-enabled legal practice specialising in wills, estates and estate administration. Their work focuses on delivering clear, efficient and client-focused legal services across estate planning and deceased estates.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an Associate-level (or above) Estate Planning Lawyer with strong experience in estate administration.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a structured, high-volume environment where you will manage meaningful estate matters from start to finish, supported by experienced practitioners and efficient systems designed to improve legal delivery and client experience.
You will work across a broad range of wills and estate matters, with a primary focus on estate administration, including probate and letters of administration. You will also assist with estate planning matters as required.
This is a hands-on role where you will take ownership of files, deal directly with clients, and ensure matters are progressed efficiently and accurately.
What will you do?
- Managing estate administration matters end-to-end
- Preparing and lodging probate and letters of administration applications
- Advising executors and beneficiaries on estate processes and obligations
- Drafting estate documentation and correspondence
- Supporting estate planning matters, including wills
- Communicating with clients and third parties in a clear and professional manner
- Ensuring files are managed efficiently and in line with best practice
What are we looking for?
- Australian practising certificate
- Experience in Wills & Estates, with strong exposure to estate administration
- Solid understanding of probate and letters of administration processes
- Ability to manage matters independently from start to finish
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A professional, empathetic approach when dealing with clients during sensitive circumstances
- Good organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
Highly regarded:
- Experience in a specialist estates or private client team
- Exposure to high-volume or structured estate administration environments
- Interest in modern legal service delivery and process improvement
