About The Opportunity In this essential role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running and upkeep of our facility, helping to create a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our elders. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will support the overall wellbeing of those in our care. As a Maintenance Officer, you will be involved in a variety of tasks, including general maintenance, repairs, and facility management, with a focus on safety and compliance with industry standards. You will collaborate with other team members to ensure all maintenance needs are promptly addressed and that the facility remains a welcoming and secure space for both residents and staff. The Day-To-Day Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs across the facility.
- Ensure all equipment is in working order and compliant with safety regulations.
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely manner.
- Assist with facility upgrades or improvements as needed.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure a smooth operation.
- Log all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
What Success Looks Like For This Role
- Previous experience in an aged care setting is desirable
- Trade Qualifications in Construction/Electrical/Plumbing desirable, not essential
- Building and equipment maintenance on an ongoing basis
- Liaison with external contractors where required
- Lawn and garden maintenance as required
- Management of Fire Safety & Evacuation Procedures
