Working closely with the Manager, Financial Crime AML/CTF, you’ll provide day-to-day guidance and operational support to a skilled team of analysts. You’ll help maintain strong quality and performance standards, manage escalations and identify opportunities to make our processes simpler, more efficient and more effective.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Providing guidance and an escalation pathway for AML/CTF analysts, helping resolve complex operational matters.
- Supporting the day-to-day delivery of AML/CTF operations, including stepping into operational processes when volumes or service levels require additional support.
- Conducting quality assurance across key financial crime processes and driving improvements through coaching, training and process changes.
- Supporting operational management, administration and team leadership when required.
- Identifying and championing process improvements that strengthen compliance, mitigate financial crime risk and improve the customer experience.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders and third-party providers to support effective communication and operational outcomes.
- Keeping up to date with industry developments and using your knowledge to help strengthen our financial crime capability.

To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Experience and a strong understanding of financial crime risks within financial services, including AML/CTF compliance and fraud.
- Experience managing or supporting the management of an operational team, with the ability to coach and guide others.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, including the ability to exercise sound judgement under pressure.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
- The ability to organise competing priorities and work effectively and autonomously in a fast-moving environment.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in an area such as AML/CTF, fraud, accounting, finance, business, law, IT, investigations or criminology, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
- Experience with Active Operations Management (AOM) and resource planning, modelling or scheduling will be advantageous.
