Job Description Guzman Y Gomez is seeking a friendly and efficient Crew Member to join our team at our Mount Barker, Australia location. As a Crew Member, you will be an essential part of our fast-paced restaurant environment, delivering exceptional service and quality food to our customers. You will work collaboratively with your team to ensure smooth daily operations while maintaining our high standards of food preparation, customer service, and restaurant cleanliness.

• Prepare and assemble food items according to Guzman Y Gomez recipes and quality standards
• Take customer orders accurately and process payments using the point-of-sale system
• Maintain a clean and organized work station, including food preparation areas and service counters
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service, addressing customer inquiries and concerns
• Follow all food safety and hygiene protocols to ensure customer safety and satisfaction
• Stock and rotate inventory items, reporting low stock levels to management
• Collaborate with team members to meet service times and handle peak service periods
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cleaning and equipment checks
• Respond to customer feedback professionally and escalate issues to management when necessary
• Support team members and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment

Qualifications

• Previous food service or restaurant experience (preferred)
• Knowledge of food handling and safety practices
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Reliable and punctual with flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and quality standards
• Cash handling experience (preferred)
• Basic mathematical skills for order processing and payment handling
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and positive attitude
• Willingness to learn and follow company procedures and policies
