Job Description

Posted on: September 5, 2026

Do you love turning big ideas into real-world solutions? Are you the kind of person who sees an opportunity, gets curious, and can't help but start building a solution? If you're passionate about innovation, experimentation and creating meaningful experiences that make a difference, join us on a two-year fixed-term opportunity to help shape the future of member experiences at Health Partners.

About Health Partners

We’re more than just your health partner. As a proud South Aussie not-for-profit, we’ve had our member’s backs (and eyes, and teeth) for over 85 years. This means we know health and wellbeing looks different for everyone, and it’s why we’re on a mission to create a better state of health for our over 95,000 members and the local community we call home.

As a member-owned fund, we’re guided by doing what’s right for our members, our people and the broader community. To be a Health Partners member means you’re part of something pretty special – we’re your truly local, value giving, member satisfying partner.

About The Role

As our Innovation Lead, you'll take member challenges and opportunities and transform them into practical, evidence-based solutions. Sitting within our Digital & Customer Experience team, you'll design, test and pilot new services, experiences and propositions that help our members stay healthier, more engaged and connected with Health Partners.

This is a hands-on role where you'll blend creativity, experimentation and commercial thinking, working alongside teams across the business to build, test, learn and continuously improve. Some ideas will scale, some will pivot, and some won't make the cut, but every experiment will bring valuable insight.

Beyond individual initiatives, you'll help shape how Health Partners approaches innovation by creating repeatable tools, frameworks and ways of working that make future innovation faster and smarter.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and deliver member-centred services, programs and propositions from concept through to pilot and recommendation.
  • Run experiments and pilots with clear success measures, learning goals and evidence-based outcomes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Digital, Marketing, Health Programs, Data, Risk, Compliance and external partners to bring ideas to life.
  • Balance innovation with member trust, privacy, governance and regulatory requirements.
  • Build innovation capability by developing repeatable frameworks, tools and playbooks that help future ideas move faster and smarter.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the pace and experimentation of innovation work, while appreciating the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a trusted, member-owned organisation.

About You

You love turning ambiguity into action and aren't afraid of a blank page. You're equally comfortable discovering member needs, shaping a service concept, running an experiment and using evidence to decide what happens next.

Most importantly, you're curious, collaborative and motivated by creating better outcomes for customers and the business - creating better ways of working that others can adopt and improve.

You Also Have

  • Experience designing and delivering end-to-end services, programs or customer propositions.
  • Strong capability in service design, human-centred design and test-and-learn approaches.
  • Experience running pilots, prototypes, MVPs or experimentation programs with measurable outcomes.
  • Ability to influence and bring diverse stakeholders together to achieve outcomes.
  • A naturally curious mindset with an interest in emerging technologies, innovation methods and new ways of solving problems.
