ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising and working collaboratively with colleagues across community fundraising, events, marketing, communications and grants; the purpose of this role is to generate revenue through meaningful donor relationships — ensuring vital programs and services can reach more Queenslanders in need.
With the support of exceptional leadership, compelling stories of impact and a strong, trusted brand, this role will see you:
- lead the delivery of the organisation’s major gifts and bequests strategy
- play a key role in an exciting major donor campaign which will deliver immediate impact for youth homelessness
- work with an engaged community of supporters and identified prospects
- nurture new and existing relationships
- deliver an exceptional donor experience at every touchpoint
- manage donor pipelines, budgets, reporting and analysis
- collaborate with colleagues on campaigns and collateral
- help to create a culture of fundraising that matches the scale of community need
- engage authentically in the community including donor visits and events.
This role will involve occasional work outside of standard office hours and irregular regional travel.
ABOUT YOU
You’re an experienced fundraiser or relationship manager with a proven track record of nurturing relationships and securing financial support.
You bring a confident, thoughtful and values-driven approach to relationships and philanthropy.
You’re someone who can engage authentically with a wide range of stakeholders.
You’re comfortable managing campaigns, pipelines and reporting processes.
You steward with care and ask with confidence; balancing strategic and analytical thinking with attention to detail and follow through.
You might be working in major gifts, mid-level giving, donor development or another area of fundraising, philanthropy or the not-for-profit sector.
Whatever your background, you’re ready to step into an important philanthropy role and you’re motivated by the impact you can have. We’d love you to bring:
- a degree in fundraising, philanthropy or a related field
- a minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role
- a proven track record achieving revenue targets
- exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills
- strong research and analytical skills
- an authentic, caring and humble approach, balanced with motivation and drive.
Experience in major gifts or bequests fundraising would be beneficial but is not essential.
The successful candidate will be required to provide (or obtain) a National Police Certificate and current Blue Card (working with children).
A valid Queensland Driver License is a requirement for this role.
