We’re looking for a results-driven Business Development Manager with a true hunter mentality to chase new business across Groups, Corporate, and Conference & Events, own your targets, and deliver results that keep us ahead of the pack.

Partnering with our Director of Sales and Marketing, you’ll uncover fresh revenue streams, outpace the competition, and cement our position as a market leader. If you thrive on accountability, love closing deals, and are ready to make your mark — this is your moment.

Your Day-to-Day Impact

  • Own and grow your account base across Groups, Corporate, and Conference & Events, exceeding targets through the IHG strategic sales process and relentless pursuit of new revenue opportunities.
  • Proactively identify, qualify, and secure new business in all market segments, working hand-in-hand with IHG National Sales to deliver on ambitious room night and revenue goals.
  • Design, execute, and track targeted sales campaigns that boost occupancy, average rates, food & beverage, and event bookings.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Management to ensure smart pricing, yield optimisation, and maximum profitability.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of all hotel products, services, and competitor offerings to stay one step ahead.
  • Build and leverage strong relationships within industry networks, local communities, and business associations to open doors and close deals.
  • Keep a firm grip on sales expenses, ensuring every dollar spent delivers a measurable return.
  • Prepare regular, accurate sales and performance reports for the Director of Sales and Marketing, ensuring transparency on progress, pipeline, and market trends.

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum 2 years’ proven success in sales within Australia — with a clear track record of winning new business and smashing revenue targets.
  • Strong hunter instincts paired with account management skills to grow long-term relationships.
  • Commercial acumen and confidence in negotiating deals that deliver win-win outcomes.
  • Experience with hotel systems, revenue management principles, and market analysis.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a fearless, proactive approach to client engagement.
