The Role
With values at the forefront, this hands-on leadership role involves developing store teams and cultivating culture across QLD. You’ll drive regional strategies to grow and elevate community impact, store performance, and team engagement daily. Acting as the central connector, you’ll collaborate with Store Managers (Head Coaches), Marketing teams, and support departments to bring culture and community alive in-store.
Key Responsibilities1. Create a Community
- Partner with the Community Marketing Manager to build strategic and energising quarterly plans that grow community engagement and brand advocacy.
- Ensure stores are activating local community initiatives such as events, gifting, group sweat sessions, and in-store athlete/community programs.
2. Develop a Team of Leaders
- Coach and support Store Managers to become entrepreneurial and accountable for their business performance.
- Build a strong internal talent pipeline with opportunities for growth and succession.
- Conduct development planning and quarterly performance reviews to identify and support high-potential team members.
3. Operational Excellence
- Oversee day-to-day operations including budget management and performance targets.
- Ensure high operational standards across all stores – clean, merchandised, well-stocked, and customer-ready.
- Maintain inventory integrity, visual merchandising excellence, and adherence to SOPs such as opening/closing duties and accurate cash handling.
- Manage and optimise rosters in line with cost targets and traffic patterns.
- Keep trading hours and retail calendars current and aligned to business needs.
4. Product Focused
- Build product knowledge and ensure the team can authentically educate customers on current and core product lines.
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle from delivery to customer.
- Lead fit sessions for new and core products to deepen product understanding.
- Support clear, commercial visual storytelling with strong outfitting and trend-based merchandising.
5. Financial Acumen
- Deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reports and reflections.
- Own and achieve revenue targets, budget goals, and analyse P&Ls for continuous improvement.
- Manage wage costs, optimise hours, and drive KPI-led team development.
6. New Store Development
- Lead timely and successful execution of new store launches.
- Recruit and train new teams with strong onboarding timelines.
- Activate a pre-opening community engagement plan 3+ months prior to launch.
7. Collaboration & Teamwork
- Embrace a collaborative mindset – no task is too small, and no team member is bigger than another.
- Connect retail teams with the broader HQ and business community to foster unity.

To Set You Apart
- 5+ years in retail multi-site management and team leadership.
- Proven success in building strong community-focused retail cultures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong systems knowledge: Microsoft Office, CRM, and project tools.
- Confident in holding crucial conversations and driving performance.
- A track record of breakthrough growth that centres around people and community.
- Comfortable operating in an omnichannel retail environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or similar (preferred).
