Community Description - The Jungal (important to know)

Jungal is a trusted, performance-driven platform community connecting organisations with a global network of verified professional talent, including skilled freelancers, consultants, and professional service providers. Our background has been in providing exceptional business analysts and we are well known for this and we're continuing the tradition with this 12 month role.

This opportunity is for Adelaide (Australia) based talent and we ask you to first complete the verification on our system. You can do this by using the login and register at www.jungal.com.au.

Please note we use Persona, the same verification technology as Linked In and if you have been verified here it will move over to our platform as well.

Here's the opportunity run down

We are seeking a high-potential Business Analyst to support a continual improvement program within a complex but smaller operating environment. This role is ideal for an early-to-mid career BA with a solid foundation who is looking to deepen their capability, broaden sector experience and take the next step in their professional growth. Cultural fit will be critical to this role.

The role focuses on core business analysis activities and offers exposure to meaningful change initiatives, senior stakeholders and structured delivery environments.

The Role

Working under the guidance of senior team members, you will contribute to business analysis activities across defined workstreams. You will support the understanding of current-state operations, help define future-state requirements and produce clear, well-structured analysis artefacts that enable delivery.

This role suits someone who is confident in the fundamentals, open to feedback, and motivated to expand their influence and technical depth.

Key responsibilities

  • Support business analysis activities across transformation and improvement initiatives
  • Assist with requirements elicitation through workshops, interviews and documentation review
  • Develop and maintain business process maps, requirements documentation and user stories
  • Contribute to gap analysis, impact assessments and options analysis
  • Work with stakeholders to clarify business needs and validate requirements
  • Maintain traceability of requirements and support delivery teams through the lifecycle
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of BA practices and artefacts

About you

You are a capable Business Analyst with a strong base and clear potential. You are curious, organised, and motivated to grow your expertise within the finance sector.

You will bring:

  • Approximately 5 years’ experience in a Business Analyst or similar role with a focus on process and functional (less focus on the IT Side)
  • Exposure to change, transformation or improvement initiatives
  • Sound understanding of core BA techniques and documentation standards
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence engaging with stakeholders, with support where appropriate
  • A genuine interest in the sector and a desire to build a long-term career within it

What we're hunting for

  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Excellent human skills and real integrity
  • Willingness to learn and take on increasing responsibility
  • Professional maturity and accountability
  • Openness to coaching, feedback and development
  • Practical, outcomes-focused mindset

Role

  • 12-month fixed-term contract
  • Full-time
  • Location and flexible working arrangements to be discussed

Expectations of all Jungal Members as background

  • Deliver on time and with quality and ask for help as required (no need to bluff)
  • Act ethically and respectfully with clients and the community
  • Continually develop their skills and expertise in line with their profession
  • Stand behind their work and their reputation and support Jungal's movement
  • Choose excellence in whatever field they operate in and enjoy yourself
