We are seeking a Commercial Finance Business Partner to join our Commercial Finance team. This pivotal role connects finance with sales, marketing, category and supply, shaping smarter decisions and stronger commercial outcomes across the business.
Role Details: Full-time role with a flexible working environment, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in the Macquarie Park office.
The Opportunity
As Commercial Finance Business Partner, you will play a central connector role across the organisation, partnering closely with Sales and Marketing while working with Category, Supply and Operations. You will own demand forecasting across the product portfolio, contribute to the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, and provide commercial insights that support growth, margin optimisation and disciplined decision-making.
Key ResponsibilitiesDemand Forecasting & Planning
- Own and deliver the company demand forecast across all products
- Leverage scan data, market growth assumptions, distribution points and average weekly turns
- Partner with Account Managers to separate base, promotional and tactical activations
- Develop new line forecasts including distribution depth and pipeline timing
- Manage product deletions and grading changes
- Ensure forecast accuracy across all assigned accounts and channels
Integrated Tactical & Business Planning
- Prepare and analyse enterprise-wide planning inputs
- Participate in Integrated Tactical Planning (ITP) forums
- Support delivery of the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process
- Compile and analyse leading and lagging performance metrics
- Prepare DMR, Financial Reconciliation Review and MBR packs
- Maintain monthly reporting packs and BI tools
Financial Analysis & Commercial Insight
- Analyse brand and portfolio performance to optimise sales and margins
- Provide insights and recommendations for strategic and tactical initiatives
- Co-create sales and marketing targets aligned to budget
- Support customer and product profitability analysis
- Review trade spend, promotional effectiveness and NPD opportunities
What We Are Looking For
- You must have full working rights for Australia to be eligible for this role.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Planning, Reporting and Analytics within OTC or FMCG, ideally in the Australian market.
- CA or CPA qualification
- Experience in FP&A, demand planning and IBP processes
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capability
- Experience with enterprise reporting systems and BI tools
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Results-driven mindset with a collaborative and proactive approach
