What does the job look like?
Grow your career with Linfox Intermodal and play an influential role in keeping freight moving across Australia's largest Intermodal network. Working closely with company drivers, planners and customers, you'll coordinate linehaul and changeover movements across our interstate road network, balancing fleet capacity, service performance and safety outcomes while solving real-time operational challenges every day.
This is a full-time permanent opportunity based out of our Laverton North location, working Monday - Friday starting at 10:00am - 6:00pm. Key areas:
- Coordinate linehaul and changeover movements across company drivers and fleet to meet customer and operational requirements
- Build strong relationships with drivers and customers through timely updates, proactive communication, and effective problem-solving
- Resolve service disruptions and customer escalations by implementing practical transport solutions and recovery plans
- Maintain accurate transport schedules, allocation boards, load sheets and customer portal bookings to ensure operational visibility
- Monitor transport safety, compliance and operational KPIs, including coupling checks, fatigue compliance and MT Data requirements
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service performance, fleet efficiency and customer outcomes
You thrive in fast-paced transport operations and bring experience coordinating fleet movements across linehaul and/or changeover networks. You are comfortable making decisions whilst maintaining a strong focus on safety, compliance and customer outcomes.
- 2+ years of experience within an operational role within the transport/logistics industry with exposure to allocating, scheduling or planning
- Experience with temperature controlled freight desirable
- Exposure coordinating company drivers and fleet across linehaul and changeover operations
- Strong understanding of fleet utilisation, load planning and transport compliance requirements
- Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility, Heavy Vehicle regulations and Fatigue Management requirements
- Proven ability to think on your feet, solve problems, and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced operational environment
- Strong systems capability with experience using transport management systems, fleet technology, and reporting tools
