Job Description We are seeking a highly capable combined Project Manager / Business Analyst (PM/BA) to lead and deliver a payroll migration and ERP implementation. This role is accountable for end-to-end delivery — from discovery and business requirements through to implementation, testing, cutover, and stabilisation. This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can run the project and do the work: manage timelines and risks while also deeply understanding payroll, awards, and ERP data/process flows. What You'll Do

  • Lead end to end delivery of the payroll migration and ERP project, managing timelines, milestones, risks and stakeholders across Finance, Payroll, HR and IT
  • Develop project plans, coordinate internal teams and vendors, and provide clear progress updates to executive stakeholders
  • Document current and future state payroll processes and translate business needs into system requirement
  • Capture detailed payroll rules including awards, EBAs, allowances, overtime, leave and BOOT considerations
  • Oversee payroll data migration, parallel pay runs and variance analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Ensure ERP integrations with finance structures such as general ledger and cost centres are correctly configured
  • Lead UAT planning, testing and business readiness activities, supporting training and a smooth transition to BAU after go live

QualificationsWhat we are looking for:Essential

  • Demonstrated experience delivering complex projects as a Project Manager, Business Analyst or hybrid PM/BA
  • Proven track record delivering payroll implementations or payroll migration projects
  • Strong understanding of Australian payroll, awards and compliance requirements
  • Experience working on ERP implementations across finance, payroll or HR modules
  • Ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders, vendors and operational teams
  • Strong documentation capability including business requirements, process mapping and test scenarios
  • Comfortable working in evolving environments and driving outcomes with limited structure

Desirable

  • Experience working with HRIS or payroll systems such as Micropay, BambooHR, Workday, ADP or PayGlobal
  • Exposure to ERP platforms such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Experience working in complex or multi-award payroll environments
  • Background in finance transformation or systems integration projects
