Job Description

Posted on: August 22, 2026

Good people. Good work. Great opportunities.

McCullough Robertson is a commercially focused firm with a proud 100 year history, working with high-calibre national and international clients. We work on big matters in small teams, approaching each day with dedication and professionalism.

We provide exceptional opportunities for our employees to perform, grow and succeed through extensive training and career development. Our teams work together and support one another to achieve individual, team and firm-wide goals.

Backed by a national team of over 400 staff located in Brisbane and Sydney, McCullough Robertson combines a century of experience with a modern, collaborative approach, making us a big firm, without the attitude.

The Role

As a Leasing Paralegal within our Real Estate group, you will play a key role in supporting across a broad range of high-quality leasing matters. The team acts for both landlords and tenants on a diverse portfolio of retail, commercial and industrial leasing transactions, advising on everything from the drafting and negotiation of major leases through to complex agreements for lease and other sophisticated leasing arrangements.

Working closely with partners and lawyers, you will enjoy a high level of responsibility, managing your own matters while supporting the team on complex transactions. Your day-to-day work will include preparing and negotiating lease documentation, managing key dates and correspondence, liaising directly with clients and external stakeholders, and ensuring matters progress smoothly and efficiently. You will also assist with lease renewals, variations, assignments, licences and other leasing-related documentation, while delivering exceptional client service and maintaining accurate matter management.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced leasing paralegal looking to build on their expertise in a collaborative, high-performing team. If you enjoy autonomy, client contact and working on quality matters, while being supported by approachable partners genuinely invested in your development, this role offers an excellent next step in your career.

Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience as a Leasing Paralegal, ideally gained within a mid to large-sized law firm. You will possess a strong understanding of commercial leasing principles and processes, excellent drafting skills, and exceptional attention to detail.

You are organised, proactive and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You take pride in producing high-quality work, communicate confidently with clients and colleagues, and enjoy building strong working relationships. Equally comfortable working independently or as part of a close-knit team, you will bring a positive attitude, sound judgement and a genuine commitment to delivering outstanding client service.

Benefits

At McCullough Robertson, we encourage a balanced work environment. Our teams enjoy having the opportunity to work in a supportive environment while having fun and achieving results.
