International Logistics/Cartage Coordinator

Job Description As an International Logistics Coordinator/Cartage Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods across different modes of transport. Your responsibilities will include coordinating logistics operations, managing cargo movements, liaising with carriers and clients, and overseeing compliance with both domestic & international regulatory bodies. You will work in a collaborative environment where your skills in logistics planning, problem-solving, and customer service will be essential. Tasks & Responsibilities

• Act as a point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related freight operations promptly and professionally.
• Coordinate with overseas agents, carriers, cargo terminals, and other relevant parties via email and telephone to facilitate smooth communication and efficient handling of international freight shipments.
• Produce quotations based on the needs of our clients and ensure billing is completed accurately in accordance with the quotation and costs.
• Ensure timely lodging of cargo reports to prevent penalties and maintain compliance with Customs legislation.
• Maintain strict adherence to all relevant security regulations for both import, export and domestic shipments, ensuring compliance and security standards are met at all times.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes and ensure all necessary documentation and procedures are in place for the safe and timely movement of cargo.

Qualifications We are seeking an experienced International Logistics Coordinator/Cartage Coordinator within the Australian International Logistics and Customs Brokerage Industry.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with CargoWise One is preferred but not essential
• Advanced Excel and Office 365 skills
• Recent international logistics experience in Australia with a freight forwarder
• Above average customer service skills and a positive, friendly nature
• Current police check or ability to complete one immediately
