About the role
Morgan Consulting Engineers (MCE) is looking for a capable Drafter to join our Brisbane-based Drafting team.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity suited to someone who is confident producing accurate and coordinated documentation, managing their own workload and working closely with engineers to deliver quality project outcomes.
You’ll work across a variety of residential engineering projects, preparing drawings, models and associated documentation using AutoCAD and Revit. You’ll be part of an established drafting team and work closely with our engineers throughout project delivery.
What you’ll be doing
- Prepare accurate and coordinated drawings, models, details, schedules and project documentation.
- Work across AutoCAD, Revit and relevant drafting and document management systems.
- Manage your own workload, priorities and deadlines across allocated projects.
- Work closely with engineers to translate approved engineering information into clear, accurate documentation.
- Complete thorough self-checks and maintain a high standard of drafting quality and document control.
- Identify missing or conflicting information and raise issues early.
- Collaborate with engineers, drafters and other team members to support effective project delivery.
- Communicate professionally with clients and other project stakeholders where required.
About you
We’re looking for someone who brings:
- Experience in engineering drafting, ideally within residential engineering or a consulting environment.
- Strong AutoCAD capability; Revit experience would be an advantage but isn’t essential.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet project deadlines.
- A collaborative approach and confidence working closely with engineers and other drafters.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive approach to identifying issues, asking questions and getting things done.
