About the Opportunity
I'm partnering with an innovative technology company based in Adelaide that is looking to add a Junior FPGA / Embedded Software Engineer to its growing engineering team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on the development of advanced embedded systems, FPGA solutions and real time software used in sophisticated electronic products. You'll play a key role throughout the full product development lifecycle, from concept and design through to testing, release and ongoing product support.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop FPGA solutions using VHDL, Verilog or SystemVerilog.
- Develop embedded software in C/C++ for hardware platforms.
- Integrate hardware and software across complex embedded systems.
- Carry out simulation, verification and validation activities.
- Support new product development from concept through to production.
- Investigate and resolve hardware and embedded software issues.
- Participate in design reviews, technical documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
- Approximately 1-3 years' commercial experience in FPGA and/or embedded software development.
- Strong FPGA development experience using VHDL and/or Verilog.
- Experience developing embedded software in C/C++.
- A solid understanding of digital design, signal processing and real-time embedded systems.
- Experience implementing Linux drivers and network stacks for FPGA-based systems.
- Exposure to Embedded Linux, RTOS, firmware development, or experience within regulated industries such as medical devices, defence or aerospace will be highly regarded.
