Surrounded by beaches and hills, Adelaide is home to some of Australia’s best events, including the world’s second largest arts Fringe Festival, Gather Round, LIV Golf and V8 supercars. A domestic relocation package is provided for successful candidates. Mott MacDonald are currently seeking an experienced a Lead Mechanical Engineer to lead our South Australian Building Mechanical team. In addition to leading complex projects and strengthening our market presence, the successful candidate will lead and guide the mechanical team, collaborating with the State Market Lead to oversee commercial performance and resource management for the team.   Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading significant projects and supporting successful project bids to strengthen our mechanical presence in South Australia.
• Promoting a culture of safety by engaging in leadership activities, such as safety walks and incident reporting.
• Assisting the Market Lead with pragmatic people management and encouraging collaboration.
• Managing resource planning and succession.
• Ensuring compliance with systems, procedures, and required training.

  About You 

• Chartered Engineer with a degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. 
• Possess a high level of design creativity with the ability to develop technically robust structural concepts whilst maintaining a strong focus on the design intent.   
• Commercially aware with the ability to successfully lead mechanical and multidisciplinary complex projects through all phases whilst managing and developing strong client relationships.  
• Desire to work within a multidisciplinary team, driving innovation and excellence, contributing to workplace culture.
