Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Planning & Scheduling Engineer to join our team, working on critical defence projects. This role requires a deep understanding of project scheduling, a strong proficiency in Open Plan Professional and familiarity with broader project controls. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in planning and scheduling within the defence sector and will be instrumental in driving project efficiency and effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules using Open Plan Professional (OPP) software.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather all necessary information to support project planning and scheduling.
• Perform critical path analysis and advise on the implications of changes to project timelines.
• Ensure that all scheduling activities comply with company policies and client requirements.
• Provide timely updates and advice to project teams and stakeholders on project progress and potential risks.
• Assist in the integration of scheduling data with other aspects of project controls and the PMO, including risk management, resource allocation, and budgeting.
• Generate regular reports on schedule progress and performance using earned value management techniques.
• Participate in project review meetings and provide expert input regarding scheduling and resource allocation.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the scheduling process and project control systems

Required Qualifications:

• Current Baseline or NV1 Security Clearance is essential.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably in the defence industry.
• Proficiency in Open Plan Professional and Primavera P6.
• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with multiple teams.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

• Exposure to Defence projects especially with CASG is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with PowerBI or other Business Intelligence tools.
• Experience in other project controls domains, such as cost control, risk and estimation.
