Reporting into the Associate Director, this role will see you provide the accurate application of accounting principles to intricate transactions and financial reporting for clients in the private equity sector.

Day to day key responsibilities will include:

● Ensure timely and high-quality service delivery to clients, collaborating with Managers and team

members to deliver accurate and timely work products within specified timelines.

● Manage daily client information requests efficiently.

● Conduct bank reconciliations, process journal entries, and prepare supporting financial

schedules.

● Evaluate and comprehend features of investment transactions, accruals, etc., while reviewing

and preparing all transaction documentation and supporting files.

● Verify accuracy and completeness of work paper files, including capital activity, investment

activity, income and expense accruals, and valuation adjustments.

● Review and prepare management fee calculations along with supporting schedules.

● Manage investor allocations and capital account statements.

● Oversee the preparation of capital call and distribution calculations, sources/uses of cash,

allocations, and investor notices.

● Prepare financial statements, notes disclosures, and supporting schedules.

● Support the year-end audit process in collaboration with the team, client, and auditors.

● Update distribution waterfall (carried interest) models according to applicable fund terms.

● Provide necessary support to the tax team for tax compliance and reports, where applicable.

● Contribute to the achievement of corporate objectives and business/departmental initiatives.

The Ideal Candidate:

• You are a motivated exceptional team player that wants to be part of newly formed team where you can make your own mark and be fully developed and supported to grow your career
• Possess a minimum of 2+ years of pertinent experience in fund accounting, with a preference for Private Equity or a Big 4 Audit Firm background.
• Showcase effective time management skills, demonstrating the ability to independently complete assigned tasks.
• Possess knowledge of Australian GAAP.
• Hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Demonstrate outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrate the capacity to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Function seamlessly as an integral team player.
• Exhibit meticulous attention to detail.
• Command a high level of proficiency in Excel, and consider additional expertise in applications such as Power Query, Power BI, Macro, and VBA as valuable assets.
• Show a keen interest in data preparation tools like Power Query and VBA, coupled with the ability to adeptly work with various software applications.
