Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role based in Sydney, NSW, with the flexibility to work from home part of the time. The Contract Manager will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and implementing commercial risk management strategies. The role also includes supporting claims preparation, negotiation of variations and disputes, providing cost forecasting, and assisting with contract administration. You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver efficient and effective contract management solutions.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and experience in Contract Advisory and Administration, including drafting, reviewing, and managing AS, GC21, NEC, and bespoke contracts.
- Proficient in claims preparation, including the ability to manage claims resolution, variations, delay analysis, and dispute negotiation.
- Skills in commercial risk management, cost forecasting, budget tracking, and value engineering are essential.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with AI applications in contract review, negotiation, and finalization is advantageous.
- A background in the construction or infrastructure industry, coupled with experience as a Commercial Manager, Contract Manager, or Quantity Surveyor, is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related fields.
- Relevant industry certifications or memberships would be beneficial.
