Our software team comprises industry-leading developers who craft bespoke digital tools tailored to each client’s unique requirements and project context, ensuring seamless integration and measurable impact.

Role Description

Our Advisory team is seeking a talented Senior Mining Engineer (open pit) who brings genuine passion for the mining industry, a commitment to high‑quality technical work, and a dedication to delivering outstanding outcomes for our clients. This role will contribute to mining and rehabilitation studies across a diverse range of commodities and mining methods.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 7+ years of technical and/or operational experience in open pit mining.
  • Strong technical report writing capabilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Membership with AusIMM (desirable)
  • Mine Planning Competencies:
  1. Advanced proficiency in mine planning software (Vulcan, Deswik, Datamine, Micromine, or similar).
  2. Experience working with and manipulating block models.
  3. Demonstrated experience in one or more phases of the mine planning cycle (STMP to LTMP).
  4. Solid pit and dump design skills.
  5. Competence in pit optimisation and LOM scheduling.
  6. Understanding of equipment selection and productivity principles
