Logistics Specialist — A.J. Bush & Sons | Beaudesert, QLD
For over a century, A.J. Bush & Sons has been doing one of the most important jobs in the Australian meat industry — turning animal by-products into high-value, sustainable commodities for domestic and export markets. It's circular-economy manufacturing at real scale, and their Beaudesert facility is where it happens.
They're now looking for a hands-on Logistics Specialist to keep raw materials and finished product moving safely, compliantly and efficiently across the operation.
What you'll do
Reporting to the Transport Manager, you'll sit at the centre of the site's transport function — coordinating and optimising the daily movement of raw materials, contractors and fleet.
Day to day that looks like:
- Planning and coordinating transport to keep production fed and dispatch on time
- Managing driver and contractor relationships, performance and compliance
- Keeping the operation on the right side of Chain of Responsibility, NHVR, WHS and biosecurity
- Reviewing collection points and monitoring raw material quality
- Tracking transport data, cost and utilisation to find efficiencies
- Coordinating fleet maintenance and defect management through MaintainX
What you'll bring
- Experience coordinating transport, logistics or supply chain operations
- A sound grasp of Chain of Responsibility and NHVR compliance
- The ability to juggle multiple schedules, contractors and priorities without dropping the ball
- Strong reporting, problem-solving and a genuine safety-first mindset
- A current C-class licence (forklift LF a bonus); any exposure to manufacturing, rendering, agriculture or heavy industry is a real plus
