You’ll design, implement, and optimise the policies, systems, and processes that ensure our transport operations run safely, legally, and efficiently every day. - Embed Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations into transport contracts, SLAs, carrier and supplier agreements and procurement decisions.
- Lead transport safety compliance and risk management through policies, procedures and frameworks aligned to legislation, codes of practice and hazardous/dangerous goods requirements.
- Provide second-line assurance by conducting audits, inspections and risk assessments, verifying control effectiveness and monitoring performance, risks and breaches.
- Build CoR capability and a safety-first culture by advising stakeholders, promoting safe transport practices and embedding responsibilities into daily operations.
- Support regulatory readiness and continuous improvement through incident investigations, NHVR/regulator engagement, legal evidence preparation, data analysis and improvement initiatives.
Do You Bring the Experience We’re Looking For?You’ll Thrive In This Role If You Have
- Proven experience in transport compliance, logistics safety or regulatory environments, with strong knowledge of CoR, HVNL, fatigue management and transport safety standards.
- Demonstrated capability in audits, investigations, corrective actions and engagement with regulators and external providers.
- Strong understanding of transport operations and compliance risk, with highly developed analytical, problem-solving and risk assessment skills.
- Exceptional communication, influencing and collaboration skills, with experience developing and delivering training and engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- High integrity and accountability, attention to detail, commitment to continuous improvement, and proficiency in compliance systems, analytics tools and Microsoft Office (Certificate IV in WHS desirable).
