We are continually inspired by pets and animals to be better people, both in our careers and our everyday life, making an impact for Pets, People and the Planet! We’re built on family values, combined with a genuine passion for pets and people. We operate with heart, inclusivity, and inspiration for pets, people, and the planet. In this role, you’ll be the driving force behind creating a safe, compliant, and high‑performing transport network. You’ll design, implement, and optimise the policies, systems, and processes that ensure our transport operations run safely, legally, and efficiently every day. You’ll empower teams across the business to understand and confidently meet their Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations—building a strong culture of accountability and proactive risk management. Your work will play a vital role in reducing exposure across the supply chain, strengthening compliance with legislation and industry standards. You’ll step into a role where you will…

  • Embed Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations into transport contracts, SLAs, carrier and supplier agreements and procurement decisions.
  • Lead transport safety compliance and risk management through policies, procedures and frameworks aligned to legislation, codes of practice and hazardous/dangerous goods requirements.
  • Provide second-line assurance by conducting audits, inspections and risk assessments, verifying control effectiveness and monitoring performance, risks and breaches.
  • Build CoR capability and a safety-first culture by advising stakeholders, promoting safe transport practices and embedding responsibilities into daily operations.
  • Support regulatory readiness and continuous improvement through incident investigations, NHVR/regulator engagement, legal evidence preparation, data analysis and improvement initiatives.

Do You Bring the Experience We’re Looking For?You’ll Thrive In This Role If You Have

  • Proven experience in transport compliance, logistics safety or regulatory environments, with strong knowledge of CoR, HVNL, fatigue management and transport safety standards.
  • Demonstrated capability in audits, investigations, corrective actions and engagement with regulators and external providers.
  • Strong understanding of transport operations and compliance risk, with highly developed analytical, problem-solving and risk assessment skills.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing and collaboration skills, with experience developing and delivering training and engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • High integrity and accountability, attention to detail, commitment to continuous improvement, and proficiency in compliance systems, analytics tools and Microsoft Office (Certificate IV in WHS desirable).
