About the Role:
PX Partners is seeking an experienced risk or compliance adviser to join our dynamic team as Senior Associate. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, you will support client-facing engagements alongside the operations of the PX Partners business. This position requires an individual who has financial services experience, can lead deliverables, ensure operational excellence and align with our strategic objectives.
This role demands a proactive attitude, collaboration and adaptability. You will work closely with clients by proposing solutions, analysing their risks, regulatory requirements and operations, offering insights through data and guiding them through implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Delivery
Supporting risk management and regulatory compliance consultancy projects for clients in the superannuation, asset management, insurance, and banking sectors. This could include:
- Analysing and implementing regulatory changes
- Designing and testing controls
- Developing risk and compliance related policies and frameworks
- Supporting the identification of operational risks and controls
- Developing target operating models for risk functions.
Managing day-to-day requirements of client engagements, including client communication and expectation management and escalations to the Managing Directors and Chief of Staff as required
Delivering outputs to a high standard of quality and within agreed timeframes to ensure client expectations are met.
Business Development & Support
Developing consultancy proposals, outlining solutions to client challenges, supported by detailed research and analysis and ensure measurable outcomes.
Supporting internal business growth opportunities, including:
- Identifying and delivering on opportunities to uplift PX Partners’ operational efficiency
- Nurturing existing client relationships and conducting analyses to determine opportunities for PX Partners to grow its revenue and profitability
- Delivering to agreed milestones to support implementation of growth opportunities
Supporting Managing Directors and Chief of Staff across all ad-hoc business activities, as required. This can include internal initiatives relating to business development or process improvement opportunities.

Skills, experience and qualifications preferred:
- More than three years of experience in a risk or compliance role in the financial services sector, or relevant audit or risk advisory experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Adapts to change and can leverage technology and AI to work smarter
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Degree in business, finance, law or a similar field. STEM backgrounds with relevant experience will also be considered.
