About the Opportunity
Quinn Allan is partnering with BUMA Australia to appoint a Senior Manager Business Performance & Strategic Finance. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving enterprise-wide financial planning, business performance, strategic analysis and financial decision support across the organisation.
Working closely with the Executive Leadership Team and operational stakeholders, you will play a critical role in translating strategy into actionable financial plans, providing commercial insight, and supporting key investment, capital allocation and business improvement decisions. This is an outstanding opportunity for a highly commercial finance leader seeking broad organisational influence within a large-scale, operationally complex business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes across the business
- Develop and maintain integrated financial models that support strategic decision-making, capital planning and business growth initiatives
- Drive enterprise performance management, including monthly performance reviews, executive reporting and variance analysis
- Deliver meaningful insights across revenue, margin, productivity, cash flow, working capital and capital performance
- Provide commercial leadership on contract economics, tender evaluations, investment decisions and strategic growth opportunities
- Partner with senior operational and commercial stakeholders to identify value creation, productivity and cost optimisation initiatives
- Strengthen financial governance, reporting frameworks and performance management processes across the organisation
- Lead and develop the FP&A and Business Performance team while driving continuous improvement across systems, reporting and analytics capabilities
About You
- CA or CPA qualified, with tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce, Economics or a related discipline
- Significant experience in FP&A, commercial finance, business performance, strategic finance or corporate finance leadership roles
- Demonstrated success operating within capital-intensive and operationally complex industries such as mining, resources, infrastructure or industrial services
- Strong experience partnering with executive stakeholders and contributing to Board-level reporting and governance processes
- Exceptional financial modelling, business analysis and strategic planning capabilities
- Deep understanding of capital allocation, cash flow management, working capital performance and commercial decision-making
- A collaborative and influential leadership style, with the ability to challenge constructively and build trusted relationships across the business
- Passion for continuous improvement, team development and driving commercial outcomes
