Design Manager

Open to an Interior Designer or Architect transitioning into Design Management.

Reporting to the Construction Director, the Design Manager will play a key role across multiple projects, working closely with clients, consultants and project teams from pre-construction through to project completion.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and coordinating the design process across tender, pre-construction and delivery phases.
• Managing consultant teams to achieve coordinated, high-quality design outcomes.
• Driving programme management, design coordination and stakeholder engagement.
• Identifying buildability, value engineering and design optimisation opportunities.
• Managing design risk, statutory approvals and regulatory compliance.
• Ensuring project outcomes align with programme, budget and quality objectives.
• Collaborating with construction teams to successfully deliver complex commercial projects.

About You

• Strong design management and consultant coordination experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• A sound understanding of buildability, project delivery and construction methodology.
• Knowledge of Australian codes, standards and statutory approval processes.
• The ability to manage multiple stakeholders across fast-paced project environments.
