- Senior opportunity for an experienced Interior Designer with 7–10+ years’ experience
- Combine design leadership, client relationships and team mentoring within a collaborative studio
The Opportunity
ROUSSOS Recruitment is partnering with an established design studio seeking an experienced Senior Interior Designer to join its Adelaide team.
Working across a diverse portfolio spanning workplace, defence, education, public space, health and specialist environments, this studio delivers people-focused interiors for both private and public sector clients.
This is a senior, hands-on position for an Interior Designer who can confidently take a project through the full design lifecycle. You will have the opportunity to lead client relationships, develop design solutions, oversee documentation and guide junior designers while remaining actively involved in project delivery.
The Role
As a Senior Interior Designer, you will take responsibility for projects across all phases of design and delivery, working closely with clients, consultants and the wider design team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading projects from briefing and concept design through to documentation and delivery
- Developing design concepts, space planning, finishes, materials and detailed design solutions
- Managing client relationships, presentations and ongoing stakeholder communication
- Coordinating consultants and ensuring design information is accurate and integrated
- Managing project priorities, programmes and design deliverables
- Mentoring junior designers and providing practical guidance throughout project delivery
The Like Mind
We are looking for an experienced Interior Designer who is technically capable, confident with clients and still enjoys being actively involved in the design process.
You will ideally bring:
- 7+ years’ Interior Design experience within an Australian interior design or architectural studio
- High-level Revit proficiency is essential (AutoCAD is desirable)
- Demonstrated ability to deliver projects through all phases of design
- Confidence managing clients and developing long-term relationships
- Experience reviewing and quality checking junior designers' work and documentation
- Strong design, documentation and consultant coordination capability
- The ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced project environment
Technical capability is important, but so is the person behind it. This studio is looking for someone who can lead without ego, support the people around them and contribute positively to a close-knit team.
