ScotPac is seeking an exceptional Business Development Manager – Asset Finance to join our growing national team. In this pivotal role, you will help support the future of SME’s by delivering tailored asset finance solutions that fuel business growth.
We are currently recruiting for this role in our Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane offices.Our Purpose

How you will make an impact:
As part of our specialist Asset Finance team, you will be at the forefront of originating, structuring, and closing commercial asset finance transactions. Collaborating closely with brokers, introducers, and key industry partners, you will identify business funding opportunities, co-create deal solutions, and bring ScotPac’s market-leading products to life. Your ability to build trust and workshop complex scenarios will set you apart and position you as a go-to partner for Commercial Asset Finance.
What you will do:
- Source, structure and close asset finance transactions across a range of asset classes and industries including transport, construction, earthmoving, civil, manufacturing, service businesses and import/export sectors.
- Build and deepen broker, aggregator, accountants, and debt advisor relationships, driving repeat business and referral flow.
- Workshop transactions directly with brokers and clients – helping uncover needs, mitigate risks, and shape win-win solutions.
- Champion ScotPac’s asset finance proposition in market – including at broker PD days, industry events, and networking forums.
- Collaborate with credit and settlement teams to ensure deals are set up for success from approval to onboarding.
- Plan and prioritise sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed targets.
- Acquire new business and cross sell the variety of ScotPac working capital solutions.
What you will bring with you:
- Proven success in commercial or asset finance sales (ideally with a strong broker network)
- Deep understanding of asset-backed lending structures, risk factors, and credit fundamentals
- Skilled at deal structuring – comfortable workshopping scenarios and providing input on pricing, terms, and asset types.
- Excellent relationship and influencing skills – you are proactive, responsive, and a known connector in the finance ecosystem.
- High energy, self-driven and resilient with a genuine passion for helping brokers and their SME clients succeed.
- Collaboration skills with ability to build good working relationships across customer base and the organisation.
