Production Team Member

We’re looking for Production Team Members to join our Spence Doors team in Cheltenham, VIC (close to Moorabbin, Oakleigh, Mentone, and Dandenong). Whether you’ve worked as a factory hand, machine operator, process worker, production operator, or you’re looking for a fresh start, we’ll provide training and support to help you succeed. What You’ll Do You’ll help manufacture high-quality timber and metal doors for commercial and residential projects. Your responsibilities include:

• Assembling and adjusting components using hand and power tools
• Operating machinery such as Beam Saws, CNC Routers, Edge Banders, Brake Presses, Turrets, and Laser Cutters
• Fitting components accurately based on job orders
• Reading and interpreting workshop drawings
• Fabricating profiles using bending and cutting machines
• Identifying material types
• Working to hourly targets and KPIs
• Conducting quality checks on your own work
• Recording labour hours and material use

You’ll also:

• Report defective goods
• Perform basic equipment maintenance
• Keep your work area clean and safe

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in a workshop or manufacturing environment (factory, production, assembly, or fabrication)
• Ability to read a tape measure, pressure gauge, level, and square
• Comfortable using sheet metal machinery and power tools
• Welding experience is a bonus
• Good attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Reliable, team player, and able to work independently
• Willingness to follow WHS guidelines and wear PPE
