We’re not just a company—we’re a team on a mission to make healthcare better. At Stryker, you’ll work with innovative technology that saves lives and improves outcomes. If you’re passionate about problem-solving, thrive in fast-paced environments, and want to make a real impact, this role is for you. What You’ll Do As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll be the go-to technical expert for our customers across Brisbane, Queensland and surrounding areas. Your work ensures that critical medical and surgical equipment performs flawlessly—because when it matters most, reliability saves lives.
- Deliver preventative maintenance, repairs, and servicing of Stryker equipment at customer sites
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly—even in high-pressure clinical settings
- Build trusted relationships with hospital teams as their technical advisor
- Manage your own schedule and travel across the region with autonomy
- Collaborate with a supportive team to share knowledge and achieve goals
- Maintain accurate service documentation to meet compliance standards
What We Offer
- Comprehensive onboarding and ongoing technical training
- Competitive salary plus performance incentives
- Career growth opportunities within a global leader
- A culture that values teamwork, inclusion, and shared purpose
RequiredWhat You Will Need
- Minimum 2 years of experience in field service engineering or a related technical field
- Proven ability to communicate clearly and confidently — you can explain complex technical issues to non-technical audiences and hold your own in a room of senior clinicians
- Demonstrated experience managing difficult or high-stakes conversations with customers or stakeholders — and achieving a positive outcome
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel
- Experience with hands-on technical experience (mechanical, electrical, electronics, engineering, or trades)
- A genuine interest in Stryker's mission and the medical technology industry — you can clearly articulate why this opportunity matters to you
Preferred
- Experience working with hand or power tools
- Experience in servicing HVAC, refrigeration or other non-medical equipment
