We're addressing critical challenges in Australia's aging electricity infrastructure with proven commercial validation and a clear path to market.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

SKYRO AU is seeking an exceptional Commercial Co-Founder to lead go-to-market strategy for our breakthrough inspection technology. This is a Day 1 Co-Founder role through the Antler VC program - if successful, you'll form the company with one technical Co-Founder who brings strong technical and domain expertise, funded from Day 1.

As Commercial Co-Founder, you'll own revenue generation, customer relationships, and market expansion for technology that transforms how utilities manage aging infrastructure, improve safety, and prevent catastrophic failures.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

  • Revenue Leadership: Drive sales strategy, customer acquisition, and revenue growth from Day 1
  • Market Development: Establish SKYRO AU as the leading inspection technology provider in Australia
  • Strategic Partnerships: Build relationships with major utilities, contractors, and industry stakeholders
  • Business Model: Optimize pricing, service delivery, and customer success strategies
  • Team Building: Recruit and lead commercial, sales, and customer success teams
  • Fundraising: Partner with technical co-founder in Pre-Seed, Series A and beyond funding rounds

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILECommercial Excellence (Required)

  • 5+ years proven commercial leadership with demonstrable revenue growth
  • B2B enterprise sales experience with complex, high-value client relationships
  • Business development expertise including partnerships, market expansion, pricing strategy
  • Track record of building and scaling commercial teamsStartup Experience (Highly Desirable)
  • Previous startup founder or early-stage commercial leadership (Seed through Series B)
  • Experience navigating rapid growth phases and go-to-market challenges
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, resource constraints, and fast iterationIndustry Knowledge (Highly Desirable)
  • Direct experience in utility/energy sector - powerline maintenance, grid operations, infrastructure inspection
  • Established network within Australian utilities (Ausgrid, SA Power Networks, Energex, AusNet, etc.)
  • Understanding of utility procurement processes and regulatory environment
  • Experience with safety-critical B2B technology solutionsFinancial Requirements
  • Personal financial runway to be a co-founder of a startup
