Role Description

The Plant Mechanical Trainer and Assessor will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and assessment services to ensure compliance with national standards and industry best practices. Daily responsibilities include developing training materials, conducting practical and theoretical training sessions, assessing competencies, and providing feedback to learners. The role also involves ensuring all safety protocols are adhered to and maintaining up-to-date training records. This is a full-time on-site position based in Newcastle, NSW.

Qualifications

  • Technical expertise in Maintenance and Mechanical Engineering
  • Familiarity with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and related technologies
  • Skills in performing inspections and an understanding of quality assurance processes
  • Knowledge and experience in Automotive systems and components
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for effective training delivery
  • Industry-recognized training and assessment qualification (e.g., Certificate IV in Training and Assessment)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Prior experience in a training or mentoring role is desirable
  • Understanding of workplace safety standards and regulations
