Head of Creative
Job Description
Posted on: September 7, 2025
Where design speaks volumes, without saying a word.
At The Calile, design is not an afterthought; it is the thread that weaves through every touchpoint. It signals a sense of place, of elegance, of ease. It sets the tone before a word is spoken. We are seeking a Head of Creative who understands this and who can lead with ideas as thoughtfully as they lead with visuals.
This role is for someone who can think big, yet work with precision. Someone who can craft the big ideas, not just the visuals, someone who can shape campaign narratives, direct high-impact photoshoots, and create brand collateral, all while holding true to The Calile’s design language: quiet confidence, timeless refinement, and effortless cohesion.
You will report into the Commercial team and lead a multidisciplinary creative function, part graphic designer, part brand thinker, part experience curator. You’ll work on the tools and from the top, translating business strategies into compelling creative expressions that are as commercially effective as they are culturally resonant.
Role Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior creative role within luxury, lifestyle, fashion, or architecture
- Proven leadership experience managing creative teams and external agencies
- A refined design portfolio demonstrating conceptual strength and brand storytelling
- Deep knowledge of visual identity, layout, typography, and cross-channel brand execution
- Expertise in creative direction for photography and video production, including styling and shoot logistics
- Commercial acumen with the ability to align creativity to business outcomes
- Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work across departments and with third-party partners
System Requirements
- Adobe Creative Cloud
- UI/UX & Digital Product Design Tools such as Figma or similar
- Web Design & Development – Webflow / Wix / Squarespace and HTML/CSS - preferred
- Video editing tools – Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X, DaVinci Reslve- preferred
During the interview process, we will ask to view your portfolio, and for those who are shortlisted, we will have a work sample task to complete.
What do we offer
- Competitive industry salary with a bonus structure attached
- Birthday leave, life leave, and extended maternity leave benefits
- Archie – Reward Gateway Discounts with over 500+ retailers
- James Street precinct perks and entitlements
