Company Description
Therapy Matters has been providing private speech pathology services to children and adolescents on the Gold Coast and Northern NSW since 1995. Led by Centre Director, Tania Teitzel, our experienced team of speech pathologists tailor therapy to meet each child’s unique communication needs. We help parents understand their child's communication disorder, the reasons it occurs, and effective intervention strategies.
Role Description
This is a full-time or part-time role for an Experienced Speech Pathologist located in Gold Coast, QLD. The Speech Pathologist will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating a variety of speech and language disorders. Day-to-day tasks include conducting individual therapy sessions, developing treatment plans, documenting progress, and working closely with families to provide support and education. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals within varied multidisciplinary team is also essential. Role can be flexible to suit the applicant and could involve work at our Burleigh and/or Murwillumbah clinics as well as on-site, full day services at local independent and Catholic schools on the Gold Coast and Northern NSW.
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in diagnosing and treating Speech, Language and Literacy Disorders
- Knowledge and skills in supporting children with disabilities and their families within strengths-based, family-centred practice
- Commitment to neurodiverse affirming practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to seek and share information as part of a supportive workplace culture
- Values that embrace high quality clinical excellence and a dedication to meaningful outcomes
- Relevant degree in Speech Pathology or a related field
- Current membership with Speech Pathology Australia
- Current Working with Children Check (QLD & NSW)
- Current NDIS Worker Screening
