Project Engineer - Mobile Machinery Titus People is currently partnering with a market leading manufacturer of innovative mobile machinery to recruit a talented Project Engineer to join their growing engineering team in the NSW Hunter Valley. This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working with large-scale mobile equipment such as Mobile Crushers and Screens, contributing to design improvements, new equipment builds, and complex machinery upgrades. If you enjoy solving engineering challenges and seeing projects through from concept to commissioning, this role offers strong career progression and exposure to advanced machinery projects. About the Role As a Project Engineer - Mobile Machinery, you will support the design, development and delivery of heavy mobile equipment projects. Your work will span the full engineering lifecycle, including tender support, design investigations, equipment upgrades, and commissioning. Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting engineering design, modifications and improvements across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems
- Preparing and reviewing engineering documentation including drawings, specifications and technical reports
- Participating in design reviews and technical risk assessments for new build and refurbishment projects
- Supporting the commissioning of new and overhauled machinery
- Conducting root cause analysis and contributing to reliability improvements
- Providing technical support to internal teams and customers throughout the project lifecycle
About You To be successful in this role you will ideally have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic or Electrical Engineering
- Experience working with heavy equipment, mobile machinery, or industrial plant environments
- Exposure to design engineering, equipment overhauls, commissioning or service engineering
- Good understanding of Australian Legislation, Standards and design requirements
- Understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems
- Strong technical problem-solving ability and analytical mindset
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across engineering and production teams
