The Opportunity

This Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for enhancing UQAU’s social media presence by creating engaging, locally relevant content that resonates with young audiences. This role requires a strong sense of fashion, aesthetic understanding aligned with UNIQLO’s brand identity, and the ability to adapt for local markets. The specialist will lead initiatives to grow followers, improve engagement, and execute viral projects that strengthen brand affinity among new and existing customers.

This role will support the rapid growth of the brand’s owned social channels by developing engaging content tailored to platform behaviors and audience interests.

We are looking for a creative, trend-sensitive social content specialist who is passionate about storytelling, culture, and community-building. You will play a key role in producing social-first content that strengthens brand affinity, drives conversation, and supports business goals.

Key ResponsibilitiesSocial Media Strategy & Execution

  1. Support development and execution of always-on and campaign-based social content strategies.
  2. Plan and publish content across key platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, Facebook).
  3. Conduct social listening and trend monitoring to identify relevant cultural opportunities.
  4. Track and analyze KPIs to optimize content formats, posting cadence, and audience growth.
  5. Ensure content aligns with brand tone, visual identity, and market objectives.

Content Creation & Production

  1. Ideate, storyboard, script, shoot, and edit social-first content (short-form video, photos, graphics).
  2. Adapt content to platform-specific behaviors and creative best practices.
  3. Draft creative briefs and collaborate with internal teams, agencies, or freelancers when needed.
  4. Participate in photoshoots and on-site content capture in stores, events, and everyday environments.
  5. Continuously test new formats, hooks, and storytelling approaches.

Community Engagement

  1. Foster positive dialogue with followers by responding to comments, tags, and DMs.
  2. Encourage and source UGC to amplify authentic customer voices.
  3. Flag emerging issues and support escalation or crisis response when needed.

Influencer & Creator Collaboration

  1. Assist in identifying creators aligned with brand values and audience interests.
  2. Coordinate communication, product seeding logistics, and performance tracking.
  3. Support content reviews and ensure brand compliance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  1. Work closely with Marketing, Retail, E-commerce, PR, and Creative teams to align messaging.
  2. Share insights on customer behavior, emerging trends, and platform innovations.
  3. Coordinate with Paid Media teams to ensure content is adaptable for paid amplification.

About You

  1. 3+ years of experience in social media, content creation, or digital marketing.
  2. Demonstrated experience producing short-form content (especially TikTok, Reels).
  3. Portfolio or samples showcasing creative thinking and execution.
  4. Basic understanding of brand storytelling and audience behavior.
  5. Experience working in retail, fashion, beauty, media, or lifestyle industries preferred (not required).
  6. Proficiency in mobile content creation tools (Canva, Adobe Premiere Rush, etc.).
  7. Familiarity with social analytics tools (Instagram Insights, TikTok Analytics, Hootsuite, etc.).
  8. Understanding of platform algorithms, posting best practices, and emerging formats.
  9. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  10. Confident copywriting ability tailored to social tone.
  11. Fast learner who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  12. Detail-oriented with strong time management.
  13. Passion for fashion, culture, and digital storytelling.
