Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Pooraka, SA, for a Traffic Controller. The primary responsibilities include safely managing temporary traffic control at work sites, directing traffic flows, setting up and dismantling traffic control devices, monitoring traffic compliance, and ensuring the safety of all road users near work zones. The role requires careful adherence to traffic management plans and compliance with legal safety requirements. Coordinating with team members and effectively communicating with stakeholders is also an essential aspect of the position.

Qualifications

• Experience in Traffic Management, including setting up and overseeing traffic control systems
• Knowledge of safety protocols, road signage installation, and traffic flow management
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for effectively interacting with contractors, team members, and the public
• Basic problem-solving and decision-making skills in high-pressure, on-site situations
• Valid Traffic Control accreditation and White Card (Essential)
• Driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
• Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and occasional weekends
• Experience in stormwater or construction-related projects is beneficial but not mandatory
