About The Role

We are seeking a Full-Time Store Manager position available to lead and inspire our Canberra Boutique. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales targets, fostering a positive and motivated team culture and ensuring Viktoria & Woods standards, policies and values are upheld.

Responsibilities Include

  • Lead your retail store teams to provide an exceptional customer and sales focussed culture through delivering in-store‬ customer experiences that build brand loyalty and drive sales to achieve or exceed budget targets and goals/KPIs.‬
  • Manage day-to-day store operations focused on maximising sales revenue, stock inventory, store presentation and‬ rostering of staff, and ensuring achievement of operational goals/KPIs.‬
  • Discuss initiatives to enhance sales with the retail team and Cluster Manager; as well as problem solve methods to increase‬ sales where sales are lower than expected.‬
  • Manage all stock movements and assess and review stock loss. Conduct seasonal stocktakes within store.‬
  • Implement visual merchandising directives and promotional changes within the store.‬
  • Provide feedback to the Cluster Manager on store operations, customer feedback and where improvements can be made.‬
  • Coach and develop team members including ASM (where app.) and retail team to enhance their capabilities and performance in their roles. Ensure annual performance plans and reviews are conducted on a regular basis and on-going‬ feedback is provided in an effective manner where staff feel valued, respected and recognised.‬
  • Build and maintain a strong VIP list of customers within the store. Ensure all staff are aware of VIPs.‬
  • Discuss staffing requirements with Cluster Manager and conduct recruitment for store, identifying internal movements‬ where possible to leverage further staff growth and development.
  • Ensure effective onboarding of new staff is conducted in‬ a timely manner to ensure an effective commencement into the role.‬
  • Ensure efficient store and team management of any new store openings and/or closures where required.‬
  • Ensure any store maintenance issues are addressed quickly and effectively.‬
  • Ensure stores meet or exceed all Workplace, Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.and/or legislation; as well as comply‬ with all V&W’s processes, policies and retail guidelines.‬

What Are We Looking For

  • Understanding of retail systems such as Kepler and AP21 would be preferred.‬
  • Knowledge of training software (e.g. Elmo) would be beneficial but not essential.‬
  • Knowledge of garment design and materials would be beneficial.‬
  • Highly skilled in building and managing customer experiences within a retail setting.‬
  • Ability to manage time and competing priorities effectively and efficiently.
  • 2+ years experience in managing a retail fashion store, or 3+ years experience in 2IC role.‬
  • Fashion retail sales experience would be highly regarded.‬
  • Experience training/developing staff.‬
  • Experience leading and managing a retail team in an effective manner is essential.
  • Ability to work a Tuesday to Saturday roster.
