What you’ll be doing…

As an Operations Planning & Performance Analyst, you’ll help shape how we measure, forecast and improve operational performance across the business.

In this highly visible role, you’ll partner closely with Operations SMEs and the On Time Performance team to turn complex operational data into clear, actionable insights. Your work will support efficient delivery of the flight schedule and inform senior leadership decisions across safety, financial and operational outcomes.

Based in our Brisbane head office, this role follows a hybrid working arrangement—usually four days in the office and one from home. As an operationally focused role, there will be times when additional on-site presence is needed, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys flexibility and being close to the action.

Key responsibilities…Operational Reporting & Insights

  • Develop and maintain automated reporting across cost, productivity, capacity and operational performance.
  • Build dashboards and KPI reporting to enable self-service insights for leaders.
  • Support executive reporting, presentations and operational deep-dives, including peak readiness planning.

Analysis, Forecasting & Planning

  • Analyse planned and completed operations to assess performance against operational parameters.
  • Identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities to support forecasting, scenario planning and impact analysis.
  • Partner with stakeholders to improve data accuracy across systems and initiatives.

Governance & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain documentation of data sources, assumptions and governance.
  • Recommend enhancements to reporting capability and support transformation initiatives and business cases.

What we’re looking for…

  • Proven experience using data analytics to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Strong experience building dashboards, self-service tools and performance reporting.
  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI skills (dashboard development essential).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into insights.
  • Confident communicator, highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities autonomously.
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Mathematics or Engineering (preferred).

Desirable

  • SQL, R or Python skills.
  • Exposure to airline operations, logistics, scheduling or resource planning.
