Victoria University (VU) and MUFG Retirement Solutions have announced a strategic partnership to enhance job pathways for students and upskill employees in the financial services sector. The three-year agreement includes:
- Training and certification in financial advice, cyber security, AI, and emerging technologies for MUFG employees.
- Student placements and project-based learning in business, accounting, IT, AI, law, and more.
- Research projects in AI, data analytics, automation, and digital equity.
- Pathways to work including casual jobs, internships, and graduate employment.
- Industry experiences like hackathons and major projects.
- Potential use of VU’s City Tower campus as a ‘flipped campus’.
VU Vice-Chancellor Professor Adam Shoemaker highlighted the partnership's role in lifelong learning and industry collaboration. CEO Frank Lombardo emphasized the commitment to inclusion and innovation, creating future-ready talent.
