Position Description
We are seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis in Victoria. In this role you will be responsible for the following:
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical, mechanical, civil, and environmental engineers, to develop and review project designs.
- Ensure project designs comply with industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Act as a technical focal point for internal teams, customers, and contractors, providing on-site engineering support during construction and commissioning phases.
- Conduct regular site inspections, surveys, and quality audits to verify installation quality and ensure adherence to project specifications and company standards.
- Support the Construction Manager and Project Manager with project budgets, expenditures, and the efficient allocation of personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Ensure all projects strictly comply with Aggreko Health and Safety requirements, Australian regulations, and environmental standards.
- Identify potential construction risks and develop mitigation strategies to proactively address challenges related to remote locations and complex logistics.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and provide regular progress reports to senior management and clients regarding timelines, budgets, and engineering deliverables.
About You
To be successful in obtaining this role, you will have :
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering, such as Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of prior experience in project-related disciplines within the renewable energy and construction industry.
- Demonstrated experience working on the delivery of utility-scale Renewable Energy projects larger than 50MW.
- Knowledge and understanding of fundamental project management systems in the construction industry and the constraints affecting the renewable energy industry in Australia and New Zealand.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills to establish effective working relationships at various organisational levels.
- The capability to operate autonomously and demonstrate initiative while thriving in a team environment.
- A positive, can-do attitude with a high level of personal resilience and persistence to meet project targets and deadlines.
Salary
If successful, you will be paid a base salary of approximately $90,000 per annum.
