Rom-Control spent 20 years as an Australian industrial electronics repair and refurbishment specialist. We support businesses that depend on reliable automation, power-electronics and control equipment to keep their operations running.
Our work includes the assessment, fault-finding, repair and refurbishment of industrial electronic equipment, including:
- Variable-speed drives, servo drives and motor controllers
- Inverters, converters and power-electronics equipment
- PLCs, HMIs, industrial controllers and automation equipment
- Printed circuit boards and difficult-to-source electronic assemblies
- Industrial and renewable-energy-related electrical and electronic assets
We help customers reduce downtime, extend the life of critical equipment and make informed decisions between repair, refurbishment, replacement and exchange options.
Who are we looking for:Rom-Control is looking for a commercially driven Sales & Marketing Manager to help grow our specialist industrial electronics repair and refurbishment business.
This is a role for someone who enjoys developing relationships, finding commercially valuable opportunities, and closing deals—not simply posting content, collecting leads or passing enquiries to someone else.
We help customers keep critical equipment in service: industrial drives, converters, controllers, automation equipment and other power-electronic assets. Our work supports renewable-energy operators, but our customer base also includes industrial businesses, utilities, contractors, automation providers and asset owners dealing with downtime, ageing equipment, obsolescence and expensive replacement decisions.
What you will get- $105,000–$125,000 base + super, based on experience.
- An achievable, uncapped performance incentive tied to profitable growth, contract wins and repeat business.
- Genuine autonomy to develop target accounts, partnerships, campaigns and sales strategy.
- Direct access to management and a capable technical team—so you can build credible offers and get decisions made.
- Laptop, phone, business tools and approved customer/travel expenses.
- Flexible, outcomes-based work arrangements where practical.
- Professional development relevant to industrial sales, technical marketing and commercial negotiation.
- A real opportunity to shape the commercial function as the company grows.
You will develop and win business across industrial, infrastructure, electrical, automation and renewable-energy markets.
That means identifying target accounts, opening doors, qualifying opportunities, developing proposals, following up quotations, negotiating commercial terms and converting opportunities into confirmed work, preferred-supplier arrangements, repeat-service relationships and customer contracts.
You will also help strengthen Rom-Control’s market presence through practical technical marketing, case studies, capability material and targeted campaigns—but sales outcomes come first.
What we needYou have a proven record in technical B2B sales, business development or account growth. You know how to deal with maintenance managers, engineers, contractors, procurement teams and business owners.
You do not need to be an electronics repair technician, but you must be comfortable learning technical services and communicating their commercial value. Experience in industrial services, electrical, automation, engineering, maintenance, renewable energy or technical equipment sales will be highly regarded.
Most importantly, you can demonstrate that you have personally developed opportunities and closed meaningful commercial deals.
ApplySend your CV and a short note describing one technical B2B deal or customer contract you personally helped win: the customer type, your role, the sales cycle and the outcome.
