Position:Cost & Schedule Specialist II (Cost Engineer)Location: Melbourne Indicative Term of Contract: 12 monthsWork Arrangement : 5/2 (Monday – Friday)Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management
• Experience in project controls focused on cost control and understand schedule control achievements
• Knowledgeable with company project management best practices framework and key work processes
• Demonstrated ability to drive creativity, innovation and continuous improvement.
• Strong Influencing, Consulting, Mentoring, Analytical, and Computing skills
• Strong Excel , PowerPoint skills , SAP, preferred Power BI, Aconex

Responsibilities

• Supports project team with ongoing project cost analysis, reporting, forecasting, budgeting, change management ,issues & opportunities management, interface management and planning & budgeting.
• Coordinate the collecting, analyzing, and reporting of project cost and schedule control information, to ensure overall project status is assessed and potential problem areas identified
• Ensure that the stewardship process is established and implemented, leading to monthly cost and schedule stewardship reviews
• Engages with project team and functional teams
• Coordinates/Supports development of Capital Project Management System deliverables based on stage of project
• Leads preparation for Reviews and Funding activities
• Understand project funding basis
• Interface with finance functions regarding AFEs(Approval for Expenditure)/budgets
• Monitoring and appraising the performance of the Contractor(s) in the areas of cost control, progress measurement and provide summary to Project leadership team
• Capture and communicate cost lessons learned for project
• Supports preparation of Close-out Reporting
• Respond to ad hoc requests from Project Management Team related to Controls/Reporting
