Material Science Expert (AI Training)About The Role What if your deep expertise in semiconductor materials or molecular modeling could directly shape how AI reasons about the physical world? We're looking for Materials Science experts — Masters and PhDs — to work with leading AI research teams, helping build AI models that genuinely understand advanced scientific concepts. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role designed for credentialed scientists who want to apply their knowledge in a high-impact, forward-looking way. No prior AI experience needed — just rigorous scientific expertise and a sharp eye for accuracy.

What You'll Do
- Develop, solve, and critically review advanced material science problems with real-world scientific relevance
- Apply your expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or related domains to design complex, nuanced problem statements
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and domain experts to strengthen AI model reasoning in materials science
- Evaluate AI-generated scientific content for accuracy, rigor, and depth
- Ensure every deliverable meets a high standard of scientific clarity and precision
Who You Are
- Master's or PhD in Materials Science or a closely related field from a recognized university
- Strong expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or adjacent disciplines
- Comfortable coding in Python or MATLAB for research or technical problem-solving
- Exceptional written communicator who can explain complex concepts with clarity
- Detail-oriented and rigorous — you hold yourself and your work to a high scientific standard
- Fluent in English and based in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, or New Zealand
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or AI evaluation workflows
- Background in computational materials science or materials informatics
- Familiarity with AI tools or large language model evaluation
- Experience writing or reviewing technical documentation, research papers, or grant proposals
