Job Description

Posted on: September 29, 2026

At Anthem, we don’t just create impactful creative campaigns. We create moments that move people.

Anthem is Australia’s leading live entertainment marketing consultancy specialising in theatre and live performances; we partner with some of the world’s biggest producers, venues and cultural institutions to create campaigns that captivate audiences and drive ticket sales. From blockbuster musicals and major festivals to iconic destinations and experiences, our work spans digital, social, motion, video, print, outdoor and everything in between.

No two days are the same. One morning you might be animating social assets for a Broadway musical, and that afternoon creating digital content for a major sporting precinct or national campaign. If you’re passionate about great design, love working across digital platforms, and thrive in a fast-paced creative environment, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role

We're looking for a talented Junior Graphic Designer to join our growing creative team.

This is a graphic design role at its core, but we're looking for someone whose strengths lean towards digital. You'll work across brand campaigns from concept through to rollout, creating work that lives across social media, digital advertising, websites, EDMs, print, and large-format.

You'll collaborate with our Creative, Account Service and Digital teams to bring campaigns to life across multiple channels. While traditional graphic design fundamentals are essential, we're particularly interested in someone who enjoys designing for digital platforms and understands how creative needs to adapt across today's online landscape.

Experience in motion graphics or animation is a bonus, but not essential.

What you’ll do
  • Design and roll out campaigns across digital and print.
  • Create artwork for social media, digital advertising, websites and EDMs.
  • Produce print collateral, outdoor advertising and finished artwork when required.
  • Maintain brand consistency across multiple campaign touchpoints.
  • Assist with creative concepts, presentations and pitch work.
  • Prepare artwork for both digital publishing and print production.
  • Work collaboratively with the Creative, Digital and Account Service teams from briefing through to delivery.
  • Continue developing your skills across emerging digital platforms and creative technologies.
About you

You'll have a solid grounding in graphic design, but a passion for digital creativity.

Ideally you'll have:

  • 1–3 years' experience in a studio or agency environment (open to consider an exceptional portfolio if you're starting your career).
  • Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Experience designing for digital platforms including social media, web and online advertising.
  • An understanding of designing across both print and digital mediums.
  • Excellent typography, layout and visual communication skills.
  • A keen eye for detail and strong time management skills.
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to learn.

Bonus points if you have…

  • Experience with Adobe After Effects or motion graphics.
  • Video editing skills.
  • Figma experience.
  • An interest in theatre, arts, entertainment or live events.

Your portfolio

Show us work that demonstrates your thinking, not just polished outcomes.

We’re particularly interested in seeing:

  • Digital campaign rollouts.
  • Social media creative.
  • Motion graphics or animation (if applicable).
  • Branding projects.
  • Any passion projects that showcase your creativity.
Life at Anthem
  • At Anthem, we value Courage, Heart, Curiosity, and Imagination, and we aim to live those values in the way we work every day.

  • Our space: A joyful, light-filled office on Exhibition Street in the Melbourne CBD, open plan, spacious, great coffee, a well-stocked snack cupboard, and an office in the heart of Melbourne.

  • The perks of the industry: Regular tickets to shows, events and opening nights, because we believe in experiencing the work we love.

  • Growth: Ongoing training and development opportunities including internal mentoring, external seminars and industry workshops.

  • The team: A close-knit, passionate and collaborative team, big enough to do serious work, small enough that you'll genuinely make an impact.

  • Culture: Team events, social activities and a workplace where great work is celebrated, and good people are valued.

  • READY TO MOVE PEOPLE?
  • If you're excited by what you have read so far and by the idea of creating work people see, share and remember, we’d love to hear from you. To apply, please submit the following:

A) Cover letter (short) telling us why Anthem feels like the right next step for you

B) Resume

C) 2 samples of work

Only applications that include a cover letter, resume and sample of work will be considered.
