What you'll be doing
- Prepare and review month-end journals, reconciliations, and management reports
- Provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to support business performance
- Partner with business leaders and act as a key finance contact across your portfolio
- Investigate financial issues, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend solutions
- Support system improvements, finance transformation initiatives, and business acquisitions
- Assist with audit requirements and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards
- Work closely with the Group Tax team on payroll tax, GST, FBT, and income tax reporting
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, strengthen controls, and enhance finance processes
- Mentor and support junior team members within the finance team
About You
- CA or CPA qualified (or equivalent experience)
- 6+ years' experience in accounting, ideally combining corporate and public practice experience
- Strong financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting capabilities
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (SAP highly regarded)
- Proven ability to build effective stakeholder relationships and influence outcomes
- Experience contributing to process improvements, system implementations, or transformation projects
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Able to work independently, manage competing priorities, and thrive in a changing environment
