About the Opportunity
As a member of the Integrated Logistics Support team, this position is primarily focussed on Cataloguing and Codification activities.
This position is suited to people who have a trade, technical or logistics background with 8-10 years of experience with complex equipment in heavy industry, mining or shipbuilding.
As a Senior Codification Officer, you will apply your expertise to analyse, document and improve the supportability, reliability, and sustainability of submarine systems and equipment throughout their lifecycle.
While prior Integrated Logistics Support experience is highly regarded, it is not essential. ASC will provide training for the successful candidate who brings strong technical insight, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
This is a full-time opportunity based at our Osborne site in SA.
Responsibilities
- Codification of Items of Supply using MC Catalogue and SAP S/4HANA supporting the maintenance of the Navy’s Submarine fleet.
- Maintaining Assembly Parts Lists within NAVALLOW supporting Customer maintenance requirements.
- Cataloguing New Items within the ASC Catalogue system maintaining data quality to support all Customer and Business users.
- Support the development and upkeep of Integrated Logistics Support products, processes, tools, and systems to support logistic configuration, maintenance, and product baselines
- Apply sustainment, configuration, and asset management principles to ensure system reliability and availability
- Utilise Computerised Maintenance Management Systems and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word)
- Collaborate with Engineering, Planning, Maintenance, Project Teams and Defence customers to optimise equipment supportability
- Manage time effectively and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines in a dynamic and high-performing environment
About you
- Obtained a Trade, Technical or Logistics qualifications with 8-10 years of experience
- Extensive background in heavy industry, mining or shipbuilding maintenance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals, data and engineering standards
- Willingness to learn and apply Integrated Logistics Support principles in a defence context
- Stores and inventory management experience would be an advantage
Eligibility
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
