We’ve never been ‘just a bank’. Just like you should never be ‘just an employee’. We’re united in our belief that in banking, better can be bigger, and together we’re making it happen.
It starts here. With Bendigo Bank… and you.
We are on a transformative journey to build a more resilient and future-focused bank. Our Group Risk function is evolving, and you could be a crucial part of this change.
As our new Stress Testing Analyst, you'll be at the heart of the action, shaping our bank's resilience by stress testing our credit portfolio against critical economic and climate scenarios.
You will be the central hub of expertise, collaborating with a diverse network of specialists across our Model Development, Credit Risk, Finance, and Treasury teams. Your analysis will provide the crucial insights that guide our strategic decisions and ensure robust models. If you're ready to make a tangible impact and work at the forefront of risk management, this is the role for you.
Your Impact: Driving Excellence
As a key driver of our function's success. You will be responsible for:
- End-to-End Model Execution: You will manage the entire process of running credit and climate risk stress tests using SAS models, from sourcing and validating input data to producing and analysing the final results.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Influence: A key part of your role will be explaining complex stress testing results to business managers and helping them embed these insights into their strategic decision-making and portfolio management.
- High-Level Reporting and Governance: You will be responsible for preparing high-quality, concise reports and submissions on stress test outcomes for senior leadership, Board Committees, and regulatory bodies like APRA.
- Regulatory Expertise: Maintaining a strong working knowledge of APRA prudential standards (particularly APS 110, 112, 113, 120, and 220) is essential, as is staying current with any regulatory changes that could impact the models.
