If this is what drives you too, then come join our team! An opportunity is available for an experienced Safety and Compliance Advisor to join our EHST team in our Forrestfield Office. Want to know a little more about the role? Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Identify, develop and ensure internal & external Compliance, mitigating risk for within EHST Australia.
- Capture, develop and analyse both data and documents to inform business of risk management opportunities for ongoing improvement, with key focus on compliance within company policy and WHS legislation.
- Encouraging active participation in a positive safety culture and drive strategies that promote performance improvement.
- Build strong and effective working relationships with key stakeholders externally and internally.
- Mange change and influence, coach and provide direction to leaders and team to ensure EHST outcomes and objectives are achieved.
- Living and demonstrating the values of Boart Longyear.
- Conduct deep dive within EHST data and documents to understand current compliance to governing bodies and BLY standards to support focus.
- Assist in EHST reporting and focal areas for Global, Regional and Operational teams.
- Work with leaders to develop plans for managing opportunities for improvement and implement change through Boart Longyear’s Management of Change (MoC) process.
A Few Things We’re Looking For
- 5 years relevant work experience in EHST and/or compliance, auditing
- Tertiary education in Occupational Health and Safety and/or Quality Auditing, or equivalent
- Knowledge of safety and compliance regulatory requirements
- Experience in working across the resource industry & related sectors
- Strong interpersonal skills & able to build effective & productive working relationships with stakeholders, clients, statutory authorities & business partners
- Advanced computer skills
- Curious mindset
